About Us

What We Believe

  • Jesus Christ's deity
  • Jesus Christ died for our sins
  • Jesus Christ rose from the dead
  • Salvation comes by trusting in
Jesus Christ to give us eternal life

We believe the Bible to be verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe in the one and only true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is completely God and is completely man.

We believe that God is the Creator of the universe.

We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to die for the sins of the world. (Romans 5:8)

We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified and died as a penalty for our sins and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. He later ascended to the Father's right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers. We believe He will one day descend from heaven and come again to earth bodily to establish His millennial kingdom.

We believe that by His death, Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin. His death provided a way for all men to be saved from eternal death and separation from God. We believe that in order to be saved, one must trust in the person of Christ who died for our sins. Salvation is received by faith in Christ alone and is received entirely apart from works.

We believe that all believers are eternally secure and cannot lose their salvation, but that sin may interrupt
the joy of one's fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of the Father.

We believe that it should be the goal of every Christian to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to the Word of God and to yield to the Holy Spirit who lives within him.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person and that He is God, possessing all of the divine attributes. He indwells, baptizes, and seals all believers at the moment of their salvation, and fills them in response to confession of sin and their openness to God's direction.

We believe that the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit such as "speaking in tongues" were a sign to Israel in the first century, and that these gifts are no longer given by God to believers today.

We believe the universal church is the Body of Christ, and that the purpose of the local church is to gather together to observe the ordinances of Christ (baptism and the Lord's Supper), and to exercise their spiritual gifts for the service of Christ and the edifying of the Body of Christ.

We believe in the personality of Satan, who is the open and declared enemy of God and man.

Our Organization

Mandeville Bible Church's leadership consists of elders and deacons. The elders assist the pastor in teaching, visiting, and outreach. The deacons are responsible for the physical property, supplies, maintenance, and the distribution of funds. Both the elders and the deacons are approved by the congregation on the basis of Biblical qualifications.

In addition to church leadership, all believers are encouraged to use their spiritual gifts to serve one another in love to maintain a healthy, well-balanced church.

Church Membership

Though church membership is not directly referred to in Scripture, church membership is a practical necessity today to conduct church administration and business.

Any believer may become a member of Mandeville Bible Church by sharing with the elders a testimony of their faith in Christ and indicating a willingness to adhere to the doctrines and by-laws of the church.
