Adult Sunday School
The adults meet in the adult classroom following the worship service each Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. for a brief time of fellowship and refreshments, followed by Bible study. The adult class is taught by a rotating group of elders and other experienced Bible teachers. The classes are discussion-oriented and questions are encouraged. The classes are also videotaped, and the videos can be accessed by clicking on the button below.
Men’s and Ladies’ Bible Studies
The men and women of the church meet for Bible studies throughout the year. The men’s and ladies’ Bible studies are usually held on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, with the ladies also offering a daytime class on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
The men hold Bible studies twice during the year, starting in February and October. The men’s study is usually a video-based series with workbooks and facilitated discussions. The women also hold studies twice during the year, starting in January and September.
In the late summer, the pastor typically teaches a 4-week Bible study for both men and women.
Men’s Breakfast
On the second Saturday of each month, the men meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, where they enjoy food cooked by the men. After breakfast, the men either listen to a guest speaker, or they have a brief devotional reading followed by group discussion.
Women’s Ministry
As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10
The goal of our women’s ministry is for our women to glorify God by engaging in opportunities of fellowship, service, Bible study and prayer. In addition to the Bible studies mentioned above, our women also gather throughout the year at special fellowships such as the Missions Weekend Ladies’ Tea, and the Christmas Cookie Exchange, where they enjoy a meal together, pray for one another, and highlight a specific ministry or mission.
Our women also use their gifts throughout the year by decorating the church for special events and occasions like our Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas potluck dinners, Missions Weekend, and Pie Day. In addition, our women take a leading role in providing meals to members in need, such as those taking care of new babies, and those dealing with illness.
Adult Choir
We have an adult choir that prepares special music programs for both our Christmas and Easter services. Choir members practice on Sunday afternoons for several weeks leading up to each of those performances. In addition, members who sing or play musical instruments are invited to share special music during worship services throughout the year.
